Jesus first

We want everyone to know their Saviour, Jesus, more and more. That’s the priority – to trust in the love He has shown to everyone; to always rely on Jesus and be confident in our relationship with Him.

Being transformed together

God wants to transform us, to become more like Jesus… together. We welcome God transforming us through our relationships with each other.

Church for everyone!

We are called, at Holy Trinity, to be church for everyone. Our hearts and prayers are for ALL who come here; to grow and nourish in their relationship with Jesus and each other.

What God is saying to us at Holy Trinity:

“Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavours of this earth. If you lose our saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage. Here’s another way to put it:

You’re here to be light, bringing our the God-colours in the world.

God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand – shine!! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5: 13-16

OUR HERITAGE

Holy Trinity's story is a long one...

The first known reference to Holy Trinity Church is in 1113. Its beginnings are tied in to the history of the Benedictine Priory of St Mary which was associated with Earl Leofric and Lady Godiva. The church appears to have originally been established next door to the Priory to act as a “side chapel” to the priory church and for the use of the priory’s tenants.

We are proud to be part of the National Lottery Heritage fund

Beautiful, inside and outside, the place is surrounded by a wonderful feeling. The people working there are very kind, also, a very decent amount of events take place here.

So much history and original features in the town.. all too often these buildings and history is wiped from view to make way for nasty boring office blocks and apartments.. Coventry is one of the best places I've ever been that embraces and celebrates its history.. love it..

The church has been on this site from 1113 but burnt down in 1257, The current Church was rebuilt in the 14th Century. The doom mural and stained glass are worth a visit and it is a stones through from Saint Michaels cathedral.A gem in the middle of Coventry City Centre. Lots of history and a remarkable story as to how this church survived the Coventry blitz.
