8 o'clock communion service

Congregational pastor: Ann Russell

The communion service at 8 o’clock each Sunday morning is greatly valued by the small congregation of regular worshippers, drawn from the Cathedral and Holy Trinity.

The quiet, reflective said service, using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer together with a homily, starts the day of worship at Holy Trinity on alternate months. On the other months we move from the intimacy of the Marler Chapel to worship in our Cathedral in the lofty Lady Chapel which is dominated by the tapestry by Graham Sutherland.

The regular congregation is joined from time to time by tourists and those not able to attend a later service. At certain times of the year it is the only Communion Service on a Sunday in Holy Trinity.
