CMS (Church Mission Society) offers opportunities for long and short term mission in this country and abroad. In November 2004 I went with Praxis to Pakistan where I was able to witness first hand the work of both the CMS mission partners based in the country and also mission workers from other countries. It was a life changing experience.
In November 2007 I am taking another of these ‘holidays with a difference’ and going for two weeks to the Philippines. Kate and Tim are CMS mission partners who work with Jigsaw Kids Ministries in Manila. They develop ‘Christian Family Centres’ sharing Christ’s love with children and families in urban poor communities of the Philippines. Whilst there I hope to meet up with mission workers with ‘Servants to Asia’s Urban Poor’ which is a charity co-ordinated in the UK by Helen Sidebotham.
