The life of a vicar's PA
It’s been over eight months now since I joined the staff team at Holy Trinity and I can honestly say no two weeks are ever the same. I think this is, in part, a reflection of the vibrancy and diversity of life within Holy Trinity. It has also been a joy to discover what life is like here in the week and outside of my Sunday morning experience, with many congregation members devoting their time and love to making Holy Trinity a place of warmth and welcome.
There have been occasions when I have met visitors to our church who have made it through very difficult and heart-breaking times and consider it a privilege to have been able to pray with them. Other weeks it seems I am permanently glued to my inbox; however there is always something interesting or unusual afoot. For example one day someone called to enquire whether the peregrine falcons were still nesting on the roof (I really did berate myself that day for not being prepared with a pair of binoculars to hand)! Other recent calls have included queries about themed weddings.
Anyway, my office days are now Mondays and Wednesdays but I also check my emails from home so do get in contact if you would like to make an appointment to see David, or discuss a baptism or wedding for example.
In the meantime I’m off to find some binoculars …
